On 13th of February the province and community of Marienburg-Bussum has held an open day for people to visit the convent from10.00 to 16.00. Many people had interest and took chance for
this special event and it was also broadcasted on Radio. We found this moment a kind of reunion for the people who ever got education through the mission work of the sisters in the past (School, boarding house and Nursing care). Sr. Jacqueline who is in charge for the museum and archives had arranged an exhibition room about the mission work of community in the past. It was very interesting one. The people were also allowed to visit the chapel and one gave explanation about it. Beside the open day for the convent, the sisters also held a kind of fancy fair to help the people in Malawi due to the nature disaster (water flooding).

Tuesday, 3 February 2015: Meeting religious sisters and brothers of Archdiocese Utrecht

The meeting of religious day at Diocese of Utrecht has been done on Tuesday, 3 February 2015 at “Priorij Emmaus of the Kanunnikessen van het Heilig Graf” in Maarssen. There were around 50 sisters and brothers attended this meeting that come from 20 religious institutions.

After welcome and opening words, we celebrated Pontificale Eucharist lead by Cardinal Eijk, together with Mgr. Hoogenboom, Woorts, vicaris Cornelissen (Deventer) and vicaris Pauw (Arnhem). At this occasion we also got Blasius’s blessing.

After Eucharistic celebration we had lunch together and it was really time for knowing each other. After lunch we were divided into 4 groups and one group was led by one sister of this community. There are five community members. The sister told us about the spirituality and the history of their congregation. After that we had chance to see the rooms, led by the sisters of community. That was an enriching time for the participants. In the closing program  we took group photo. At 16.30 the program was closed by common evening prayer in the chapel and led by the Kanunikessen sisters.
